Counseling is an investment in YOU!

A Balanced Approach is an Out-of-Network Provider.

This means that our work together is determined solely by the client and not by insurance company regulations.  We do this because we want to be able to offer you the most effective, personalized treatment to best fit your mental health needs.  This approach is sometimes in conflict with what insurance companies require and we feel that working with our clients directly is the best approach allowing us to meet the needs of our clients.

We are happy to work with your insurance company as an Out of Network Provider if you decide this is an option for you.  Most clients who submit to Out of Network benefits get reimbursed a percentage of counseling fees.  The details of this are dependent upon your insurance plan.  We can issue you a receipt (called a Superbill) that you can submit to insurance.

1.     How Can I Submit to Out of Network Benefits?

To find out how your mental health benefits work, we suggest calling the member services number located on the back of your insurance card.  Helpful questions to ask during the call include:

*  What are my Out of Network benefits for outpatient mental health services?

*  How much is my deductible, and how much will you reimburse me once the deductible has been met?

*  What information do you require on the Superbill in order to process as out of network?

*  Where do I send the Superbills?

2.     Payment

We accept cash, credit cards, and checks.  In addition, we accept Health Savings Accounts (HSA) cards and FLEX Spending if you have either of these benefit resources through your insurance company.

3.      Cancellation Policy

Regular Attendance at your scheduled therapy appointment is a key component for success.  Our therapists reserve time with you and take this responsibility seriously. Our hope for 24 -hour notice of appointment cancellation is in place and we appreciate you understanding.  Additional details and fees associated to cancellations are provided in a separate document.
